Topic: Multiface I converter chip upgrade

I was thinking of changing the old AD/DA converter chips to a newer ones in MFI...

Has anybody done that? Is it even possible?

IIRC it uses AK4528 chips and AKM is probably doing some updater version by now.

Sorry, but you don't really expect a readymade solution here, do you...? HeadScratch
I'd suggest to do some research of your own initially - i.e. whether or not there is such a thing as a pin-compatible successor to this AKM codec. If not, that's the end of the idea anyhow. If yes, go ahead and replace it - at your own risk...
