Topic: The only thing I don't like about RME

is the use of crappy chinese PSU for FFUC.
I've had the unit for 1,5 years and the second PSU has come to its end.
I'm glad that the first one was covered by warranty of the import company, but I'm not sure about the second one since over a year has passed.

Rodents?

Re: The only thing I don't like about RME

Not rodents, just using the unit at home and in the field recordings.
I pack the PSU in my laptop backpack trying to avoid stress to the cord,
but since the plastic cover of the cords is not flexible enough, it breaks relatively fast and easily.

I agree. Rme is perfect except for the PSU. Strange they didnt notice it (?) I wouldnt have cared paying a few more dollars in order to get a better psu along with the FF.

I suppose there just isnt enough room inside the FF400, but I HATE all wall warts with a vengeance, and my laptop only has a 4-pin Firewire connection.
