Re: Configuring the babyface

Basic setup is:

Install the software and drivers onto your Mac.
USB cable from Babyface to Mac USB port.
Monitors Speakerst o the monitor outs on the Babyface.

Is there other devices you need to connect?

Re: Configuring the babyface

tq very much 4 the info..i've done the basic setup so thats mean i can run the babyface.is there anything to do with toslink input and output connection at the back of babyface to get big sound when recording or mixing?at the moment i'm not really sure the purpose of those toslink input and output connection. one more thing in my fireface usb settings display as below:

properties for : Babyface (23307228)                  firmware :v184     driver : v1.58

option
DSP                    _ EQ for record
optical out           SPDIF

Clock mode
Sample rate             44100 Hz
Clock source            Optical in
Current clock :         Internal

Input status
Optical in                No Lock

Is there anything wrong in my babyface settings?

your help is really really appreciate..

Re: Configuring the babyface

The Toslink cables will help connecting external converters or microphone preamps or even digital mixers to the BF (SPDIF or ADAT format).
