Topic: Major Volume Fluctuation Between Channels - Fireface 800

Hello,

I haven't used my fireface 800 in some time, so I am not sure when this started. I am tested a consistant  keyboard drone sound patch in all line channels in the back and all levels were equal on the software mixer. For some reason channel 3 and 7 barely have any volume — basically dead.

I'm stumped. any ideas?

Perform a "clean" test using oscilator at let's say 1 kHz @ -3dB and compare output levels. With my units I noticed output differences with no more than 0.3 dB. If significantly larger, your unit needs a repair (output condensers replacement most likely).

I'm having a very similar problem- on two of my outputs (2 and 6), I'm down around 6dB.  I can boost this and fix it within the Fireface mixer, but obviously on louder sources this causes clipping.

Are there any other potential fixes or settings to change, or a hard reset on the unit that I can perform, before having to send it off for repair?
