Topic: Fractal Axe11 & two sample rates?

I have many recordings (far too many to re-sample) done at 44.1K & now wish to use my Axe11 to sync these VIP's with RME UFX & the Axe11.

My question: is it possible to play back a 44.1K "dry" guitar signal from Samp/RME to send & to be converted on-the-fly to 48K into the Ax11 (to re-amp), to then record on-the-fly back into a 44.1K Samp project?

Of course I'm attempting to not resort to analog ins & outs if possible!

Cheers,
Bob.

Re: Fractal Axe11 & two sample rates?

Hi there... also an Axe-FX-II user with an RME. I typically use the USB interface to fly guitar into the computer. I use a Mac with Logic, and the underlying CoreAudio will happily resample the data on the fly into the computer. The only other choice (other than going to 48Khz) is to run analog to the RME (not bad at all). This was extremely short sighted by the Fractal Audio folks, who IMO made a gigantic blunder. I did call them up on this issue, and there is no way around it in the current hardware in the AXE-FX II.

Hey Pete.
Yes, it's a huge oversight by Our Cliff! I had hoped for at least an ADAT/Lightpipe plus a dedicated dry output.
Still, I am very happy with the unit's tone so far.

Will keep plugging away.......

Ta mate,
Bob.
