I just ordered it yesterday online havent received it. In the description, it said it has 22 channels. But look at the breakout cable, there are only two inputs?

I am a new user of babyface. How to record dry sound of a guitar while listen to the wet sound of it with a guitar effect pedal?
Of course, I want to play backtrack simultaneously and dont want the backtrack go through any guitar effect pedal.
My guess is the following: insert the guitar cable to the instrument input on the side of its body. select this input as record source in the DAW's first track (keep this track silent). Then send this signal to an output on babyface and insert guitar pedal there then put this signal back to one of the remain inputs. Then create another track in the DAW who receives everything from this input (put the monitor of it on in the DAW, take cubase for an example). And then put the backtrack on the third track in the DAW.
Is there a better way?
