Topic: DURec playback in sync with computer?

Hi!

Can the playback of the Fireface be synced to protools or logic?  I was wondering if it could be used to essentially offload audio playback of some channels from the computer.  Am looking to mix primarily on an analogue desk, and being able to have drums, bass, and some guitars offloaded onto the Fireface would give my Macbook Pro less to do...which can only be a good thing!

...A follow up question would be can it generate any form of sync output (short of recording an audio track of timecode) for a DAW to sync to?

Hi,
No, DuRec is designed to be a simple safety recording function. It is not a full multi-track recording system.
