Ok, this is ridiculous, I admit, but....it's been about 6 years since I've done anything with my music gear; just bought a Babyface and HDSPe ExpressCard/Multiface II combo recently; all is well on that front.

but....

....whilst digging around in a basement room in my house looking for other stuff, I discovered some music gear I'd forgotten I had.   One of the items is an original RME Multiface (!).   

So, my question is (assuming the MF still works), can it be used as a spare, if I take the laptop/MFII on a gig?   In other words, can I use the MFII switching power supply with it, and will the latest Windows drivers (which are being used with the MFII) work with the older guy?

It would be nice to think I've got some backup insurance; not that I expect the MFII to die.
