Topic: Total Mix FX on UFX : Routing problem or question

Hi,
I have a question that is probably silly, but I searched a little and didn't find any answer :
I am testing the new Total Mix FX with My UFX, I have "hidden" the unused inputs/outputs and now I have a "clean" screen with only the necessary entries and my 2 outs + one Output monitor for me with a specific mix when I sing.
I am now facing the problem I didn't have before : When I chose an output, and I set the volume of an input, I cannot route it differently to the other outputs. It looks like if all the input levels were "linked".
Maybe it's not that clear so for example :
I choose -5 dB for the singer's mike for the 2 Main Outs, and +0 dB for the monitor's output. When I come back to the Main Out, it didn't keep the -5 dB out, but it keeps 0 dB instead.
There is certainly something stupid I am missing ? (knowing I have changed lots of settings everywhere in TMFX and it may be the reason !)
Thanks for your help.
Philippe

I'm not entirely sure I understand the problem.... You could always try a mixer reset, though. :-)
(After saving the setup).

Also, you might want to provide a screenshot of the mixer.

Re: Total Mix FX on UFX : Routing problem or question

I'll do that this Week End, I knew I shouldn't ask a Friday the 13th ...;)
Philippe

but anyway I'll try again :
You want a routing of a voice and Guitar that is different for the main output and the stage monitor in TMFX.
- Suppose you click on Output 1&2 (Main Outs) and you choose input N°10 (a voice mike) with -5 dB and input N°11 (a guitar) with -4dB.
- Then you click on Output 3 (a monitor on stage), and you set input 10 at +5dB and input 11 at -10dB.
- When I click back on Output 1&2, instead of showing the initial values -5 dB/Out10  and -4dB/Out11, it stays at +5 and -10 dB keeping the values of the monitor.

It does not work like it used to do (keeping the routing for each outs)
If it is still difficult to understand, I will try the reset and post some screenshots (maybe also with a screenshot of the matrix view)
Please have a marvelous Week-End,

Philippe

Seems like you typically mix in Submix View.  It could be the Submix View box is unchecked.

Re: Total Mix FX on UFX : Routing problem or question

Hi and thanks to try to help me.
I have tried to switch on/off my UFX and reboot my PC ... and now it's back to normal without resetting anything.
It looked like if I didn't mix in SubMix View, but I checked and I was in SubMix view.
Anyway, it works great now, thanks again !
