hi,

i got a solid state mono external mic preamp,,and i want to connect it to my fireface uc

1 - can i use one of the 4 back lines inputs (5-8) for the preamp connection ?

2 - if yes,,,how to connect the pream output (balanced XLR) to the fireface uc back inputs 5-8 (TRS/TR) to record a mono vocal track on pro tools 10,,,how should the connection be

balanced XLR to TRS ?
or
balanced XLR to TR ?
