Topic: Digital connection between Line6 POD HD500 to Babyface

hi,

I'm using snow babyface with my macbook and recently purchased line6 POD HD500.

while I was reading the manual of POD HD, realized that there is a digital out(coaxial) on my POD,
also BF has digital in out(TosLink)
so I was wondering if there is any way I can connect my POD HD to BF digitally

I was looking up digital cables online but I couldn't find anything like Coaxial<--->TosLink

I know I still can connect using analog in/out or USB but I really wanna try digital out

any advice?

thanks, Kyle

Re: Digital connection between Line6 POD HD500 to Babyface

Hi Kyle,
You would need a SPDIF Coaxial to Optical/Toslink Format converter to do this.
We make a high end one called the ADI4-DD. There are also very basic cheaper models for Hosa and M-Audio that may fine for your needs.
Personally I would juts go analog since the Line 6 would end up being the master clock instead of the RME.

If you want to add more analog I/O to the unit for doing things like this then there are a a bunch of options from us and other manufacturers that would end up adding 2 to 8 channels of analog to you setup.

Thanks Chris
