Topic: External pre's into the FF800

Hello

i like to know how to connect my daking IV pre's into the FF800 so i can use
the daking pre's and the FF800 for a total of 8 pre's to record

Use the line inputs on the rear.

i did use the line input, but if i want to use my 4 ext pre's and the 4 FF800 pre's
what line input ( 1-2-3-4- ext ext ) should i use to make it work with the 4 FF 800 pre's
i'm reading the manuel now and can't figure it out......  i'm on a MAC and pro Tool 10.
Right now i only got 6 pre's working  4 in the back ( the extern ), 2 in the front ( the intern ). and i look at the setting about phantom power and all.........

Check the Fireface Settings app, channels 7&8 can be set to front or rear inputs. Set them to Front if you want to use the preamps. Then you'll also be able to use rear inputs 1-6 for external preamps.

? There are obviously 4 preamps on the front...

ok 4 preamp on the front, and i want to use 4 external preamp. how can i make
all this work wiith my MAC.  it's not clear in the Manual......

Any of the inputs numbered 1-6 on the rear panel can be used with external preamps along with the front 4 preamps, ch 7-10.  Then just select the channels you want to use in software.
