Topic: quad speed noise with HDSPe AIO

Connecting a sine wave generator to the analog input channels of a HDSPe and calculating the difference of the recorded waveform in volts/second at 96000 sampling rate I get the following results:

Following is the same test but at 192000 sampling rate:

I would not have expected so much more noise at 192000.
Can anyone explain this?

Best regards,
Russell

Re: quad speed noise with HDSPe AIO

The manual explains the noise levels at higher sample rates - in short, it's noise shaping...

Re: quad speed noise with HDSPe AIO

Any chance I can turn off noise shaping?
I'll using this card for audio analysis tests and I want the noise passed through as is.

No, sorry, this is something the converter chips do.

...nearly all converter chips do. Some more, some less. You will  have to live with that...
