Topic: Firewire Port

Hi all,

I am having issues with one of the Firewire ports on my Fireface 400 (furthest from the power supply which I know is often suggested as a reason but it used to work absolutely fine). It is:

a) not being recognised by my Macbook Pro (though the lights are turning on)
b) not working for daisy chaining a hard drive.

So---I'm guessing the port itself is knackered. I have had the Logic board replaced on my laptop twice as I initially thought it was that but it now pretty much has to be the soundcard.

I have e-mailed the support but am waiting to hear back, but I can't find a direct contact for England, or anywhere I could take it to be looked at here.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated - I'm having to run everything off USB drives at the moment, and I'm on a project that it is really starting to struggle on.

Many thanks,

Richard.
