Topic: Multiface I as standalone ADC

What's the likelihood of getting a firmware update that defaults the analog inputs to the ADAT outputs? (and vice versa...)

I just upgraded to the UFX (which is awesome), but I'd love to keep my trusty Multiface I strictly for AD conversion, but the settings reset when the power is cycled - wont work for me as I wish to use it for a mobile rig.

Long shot but thought I'd ask.

Sorry, not possible... a) there is no upgradeable firmware, and b) no memorry on the unit to retain settings.

Then again, if you still have yourHDSP interface card, you could just leave it in the PC and use it to configure and power the MFI. Haven't got one? Get a used one from ebay...
