Topic: Routing: how to pre-amp my soft-synth (cubase - multiface2 - preamp)

hello everyone,

I want to send a single cubase audio output through my pre-amp (great river me1) to give the soft synth a little bit more live wink
but unfortunately I get some nasty digital backgroundnoise (working hard drive ect...) sad
I minimized the issues by deleting all the cpu heavy stuff in my cubase project but there is still some noise whatsoever (okay, it could be the pre-amp)

for this setting:
cubase - mono out - multiface2 - pre amp - multiface in - cubase
what would be the best routing in the hammerfall hdsp mixer to minimize all the noise stuff?

thank you very much...
cheers,
michael

Hi Micheal,
Although you can do this using the Total Mix it will be far easier and more flexible to do it using Cubase's external effects plugins option.
As long as you have the full version of Cubase 4.0 and higher you can use setup external plugins as effects send and returns withing Cubase.
If you have Cubase 6 there are instructions on page 30 of the Operations Manual.

Thanks Chris
