im wondering if there is any way to hook this thing up to my laptop, it doesnt have a 2 port express card laptop 1394.

if anyone has heard of some way to use this device with usb i would be pleased to know.

also, i seem to get alot of crackle with anything but 441000 klh.

im using garageband on a mac mini.

im wondering what recommendations someone out there might have for me as far as potentially purchasing a new laptop for recording purpouses.
