Topic: FF 400-spdif slave or master settings

Hello,
when I use the SPDIF-Input,  does the FF be set to AutoSync?
Thats the only way for me to stop the flashing Lights  at the front of the FF and the Lock/Sync - Issues in the Settingsdialog.
But then the System Clock Mode is set to Slave..
But will the FF then be the Slave?
And is it unseful to set the FF to slave-Mode?
I´d guess that the clock of the FF is much better than the clock of my CD-Player (if there is a clock anyway).
thanks für help,
andyfromHH.

Re: FF 400-spdif slave or master settings

You can only have one master clock in a digital system, everything else must sync to the master. When your CD player is on, the FF has to be set to AutoSync with Pref. Sync Ref. set to SPDIF in.

yes, Jeff, thanks, I just found out that, when CD player is off, she FF is the master again, I think that´s the AUTO in AUTOSYNC smile
Thanks & greetings from HH,
