Topic: Digicheck controlling playback sample rate?

Setup:  Sound Forge under XP Pro SP3 playing back through UFX AN1/2, USB driver 1.022, Digicheck 5.43.

I master at 96K, convert to 44K1 for broadcast CD.  I can have files of both sample rates open in SF, and play them back alternately.  They play back correctly if I do not have DigiCheck open.

If I then open DigiCheck (Input source set to  Playback AN1,AN2 - either EBU meter or Vector phase meter), playback a 96K file OK, then try to play a 44K1 file and it plays back at 96K (sped up).  This can only be fixed by closing and re-opening DC.  Likewise, after playing back 44K1 file, then selecting a 96K file, it plays back at 44K1 ie., slow.  (The ASIO set sample rate box on the input select menu is unchecked.)

So, in summary, if I have DigiCheck open and want to play back a file of a different sample rate I have to close and re-open DigiCheck.  Is this behaviour intended?  Is there something I have missed in DigCheck set-up?   I cannot recall similar behaviour in the past.

Re: Digicheck controlling playback sample rate?

This is currently a limitation in the USB driver which will hopefully be removed soon.
