Topic: When I click on mute on my output channel the speakers don't mute...

I bought a Fireface ucx and I've been trying to mute my speakers but when I click on mute buttons in totalmix nothing happens they just turn blue. On the Rme FAQ page it says that I need to make sure my master mute is active. It is active but still nothing happens when I press mute in total mix. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Where exactly do you "press mute"?

sounds like you are muting the wrong channel, you sure you are muting the correct one, you muting it at the botton on hardware outputs?
