Hi there, I got the new FF UFX, the USB connection works amazing with great results. After a month I decided to try the FW connection to see the difference. The light goes on but there's no Audio going in or out. Could this unit have a defective FW port?

Yes of course, from the site. Everything is up to date.
Just to make sure: The USB driver does not include the Firewire driver, you have to download it separately.

I got my answer as to why it doesn't work. ( something about Win7 compatibility and my PCIe FW card ).
I'll stick to USB 2.0
You could still try to switch the Windows Firewire driver (for your PCIe FW card) to "(legacy)" via Device-Manager.
It's already on (legacy)....tried switching also...still NADA.
I tried many ways before I cried for help.....I'll try another comp. later on, but for now...I'll continue my work with USB2.0.....like they say, "If it works...don't fix it." right?
