Topic: FF 400 to mixer and mixer to FF 400

hi,
thing i want to do is:
send signal from ff 400 to mixer (onyx 820i)
apply eq/fx there
send signal back to ff 400 for recording.

i connected like this:
ff 400 outs 1-2 to mixer channel line inputs
monitors to control room outs
alt 3-4 to ff 400 line ins 1-2
& getting feedback loop.

tried to change some routings in software mixer/matrix, but in general can't figure out how to achieve this..

any help much appreciated, thanks.

Where does the signal to the FF400 outs 1/2 is comming? Software output 1/2?

Please check the routing to the outputs 1/2 and the control room outs. In your setup FF400 output 1/2 can't get a signal from line input 1/2 (fader down) or this would produce the feedback loop. The Control Room output should get this signal.

If this is not working please provide a screenshot of the TotalMix matrix.

yes, signal to ff 400 is coming from software output 1/2.
I muted ff 400 line input 1/2 and no feedback now, but situation is like this:
1. signal from ff 400 outs 1/2 is coming to mixer channel
2. i apply some eq on that channel and send signal from this channel to mixers alt 3/4 => back to ff 400 ins 1/2
3. question is how to record that coming back, equed signal? since in totalmix line ins 1/2 are muted or if not muted feedback is produced.

The signal on inputs 1/2 is routed before TotalMix to the recording software. Any setting in the channel has no effect - it's for monitoring only (exception: Loopback is activated).
