Topic: routing problem UFX and totalmix FX

hi,

a simple question,
i got a midi apple loop in logic,
how can I record this loop into an audio track via totalmix FX compressor?
do i need a external TRS cable routing from output to input to get this compressor work?

is there a sonic difference between routing inside the totalmix FX and using external TRS cable to connect line output to line input within the same device?

You don't need a cable.  Look up "loopback" in the manual.  It is a way to route an output channel from TM to the input of your DAW.
