Topic: HDSPe MADI / MADIface Auxiliary Data Bit Control?

Hi All,

I will be using the HDSPe MADI or MADIface as a way to play/generate MADI audio.  I'd like to manipulate the auxiliary data bits, CUVP, embedded in the MADI output stream of the HDSPe card.  I'm doing this to verify that MADI equipment down stream is passing these auxiliary data bits correctly when they are changed.

Does anyone know if there is special software out there used to manipulate the auxiliary data bits within the MADI output stream?  If so, what software do you all recommend using?  Any other suggestions on how to accomplish this would also be greatly appreciated!

Thanks everyone!

There is no such software as those bits can not be changed in the transmitting hardware.

Re: HDSPe MADI / MADIface Auxiliary Data Bit Control?

Thank you MC.  In any other instance or setup, can the U bit be modulated?  I spoke to someone from technical support the other day and he stated that only the modulation of the U bit is possible.

How is this achieved?  Is the HDSPe MADI unit capable of recording MADI with the U bit intact?  If so, does this mean that the U bit data is transparent upon MADI playback to the output, while the other auxiliary data bits are replaced?

My apologies for all the questions.  I am new to this product.

On the recording side you have full acess to all aux bits, see DIGICheck Channel Status, and this Tech Info:

For playback you get detailed information directly from support.
