After over 9 years, we had to pull out the racks and all the wire runs in most of the control room (had plumber resolve a piping issue yesterday).  So with 1/2 the control room being apart, I was thinking about routing my set of Joe Meek Twin Q pre's via SP/DIF out into the DAW.  Since we track most all sessions at 24/96k that reduces our input to 12 in.  So shouldn't I gain an additional 2 by using that accessable feed from the Joe Meek unit?
I don't know why I had'nt though about it before...but with everything pulled apart it more or less, hit me in the face to try it.  Can I assume the Hammerfall can handle it?  I know the manual talks about 12 channels with using S/MUX, but the SP/DIF port should still useable, correct?

Deep in wires, with miles to go - so anyone's knowledge of this NOT working, PLEASE quickly make me aware!
