Topic: Audiolink 96 with windows 7 64bit

Hi, I've just got a new PC with windows 7 64bit. still have the old audiolink 96 (hammerfall multiface) that can't be installed.
read every topic in the forum regarding this issue, read and did all the instructions that are on your site under downloads / Hammerfall DSP and HDSPe Series( its for XP !!!). got the latest drivers as well as the originals from the CD (version 2.0).

Windows doesn't recognize the PCI at the right category in the device manager (its under other devices), and when I try to update the driver, directed to its location it still can't find it..

any solution?

Wenn die PCI-Karte noch original ist braucht sie eine Modifikation. Siehe auch hier

1. although my last name is Klar I'm not german, so english please...
2. I have already read that discussion but no solution there.
3. Today I had 2 reboots that were successful = the card worked.
but only those 2... now the red light came back again and the mixer also doesn't show up when I call it from the task bar.

Re: Audiolink 96 with windows 7 64bit

Did the modification - so far so good smile

2 reboots by now...

thanx a lot !!!

Re: Audiolink 96 with windows 7 64bit

Still working great here !!
one more question - when turning on the computer, the red light in the external unit is on and than turns off after windows comes up, but sometimes it flashes once again right after. does it mean anything?

Re: Audiolink 96 with windows 7 64bit

Hello again... after I did the modification recommended by you for revision 1.4
(see my last topic here - http://www.rme-audio.de/forum/viewtopic.php?id=15173 )
it worked fine until a few days ago, but since when I boot the PC, the Host red light turns off as it should and after a minute or so it turns on again with half of its power.. it seems like from time to time it tries to restart itself (the 2 yellow lights under midi state turns on for a second) but the problem remains.
one more thing - if I turn the PC off and on again the red light turns on in its full power.
how can we fix it?

Re: Audiolink 96 with windows 7 64bit

The Audiolink might not get enough power. Please try with an external power supply.
