Topic: Need help with babyface totalmix set-up

Hi, for some weeks I'm using the new RME Babyface and Ableton Live with MacBook Pro. I'm not sure, what I have to route correctly so that the sound from my electric cello come into the babyface. (In MacOS I activated the Babyface and in Ableton Live too, but I do not get any sound.)

What is wrong?

Does anyone have TeamViewer VPN for check the problem directly on my Mac?

Would be very helpful. Thank you in advance!

PS.: I speak German and English.

Re: Need help with babyface totalmix set-up

I can help you with the setup, but you should be able to do it yourself, too.

- Enable the BF inputs via Live's Preferences -> Audio.
- Create an Audio track and select the BF's input on the track's I/O dropdown menu.
- Arm the track for recording.

This should do it. You can switch the track's Monitoring from Auto to always so that you don't have to arm it to activate monitoring.

Re: Need help with babyface totalmix set-up

Hi Timur Born,

thanks for answering! In Ableton Live it's still activated (I/O) and the right mic-inputs in the channel too. But I do not know, what is wrong concrete in details.

Neither in Ableton Live nor in the TotalMix-Software I can see the level. But Firmware and Driver are up to date...

edit: Don't know why, but a re-install of the drivers solved the problem. smile

I love the RME audio interfaces! smile
