Topic: Baby Face question

Hi There from France
I am a new user of the RME Baby Face and I can't manage to sort out the following problem :
in order to record a guitar throughout a  microphone Sennheiser placed in front of my Fender amp plugged in the "Line in left" entry  of my BB. I want to record my guitar into my "Band in a Box" soft. The problem is that I can't hear the guitar in the headphones while BB is playing . The result  is a great latency betwen BB original and the recorded guitar.

How to assign a defined  (AN1) entry to one defined playback output ?
It doesn't seem very easy ?
Any answer ?

Thank you in advance guys

Re: Baby Face question

Click the headphone output in the 3rd row of TotalMix (it get's brighter). Set the fader of input AN1 to 0dB. Set the fader of the playback out in the 2nd row you use as output for your audio software all the way down to avoid a mix with the software monitoring signal.

This creates a monitoring mix for the headphones out and you listen directly to the input signal via zero-latency hardware monitoring.

best regards
