Topic: Poor Performance of FF800 in 10 pass loopback test/RME poor quality?

I recently tried testing my fireface 800 as shown on

to verify that the RME converters really were as poor quality as shown in the results.
What I found is quite shocking.
Here is a pic of the initial test tone and also the test tone, after going out through FF out 1 & 2 and then back into the DAW (Samplitude in this case but also tried with Protools and Cubase) . The link is to the gearslutz thread as I couldn't upload here.

Notice the tone that occurs before the main test tone starts. I'm hoping there is something wrong with the way I'm doing this test or otherwise something that can be fixed as if not I definitely won't be using FF800 for much longer if this is "normal"

Ja, da traut sich jetzt niemand antworten. Mich wundert, dass er nocht nicht gelöscht worden ist.
