Topic: Babyface- white and red cinch

Hi.
I have a serious problem.
I wanted to connect Babyface left out (white cinch) and right out (red) direct to amplifier input inside amplifier (without using female cinch+adapter+another female cinch of amplifier + wires in amplifier).
So i cut out these two cinches from wires.
But, when i looked at wires, there were a ground, and two thin wires in each side (I though there will be a ground and only one for signal).

Amplifier has only a ground and a signal (unbalanced) for each side.

The question is : what to do with extra wire (probably white one).

Re: Babyface- white and red cinch

Hi,

Possible to check with multimeter if the two thin wires carries the same signal ?
If they do then just join them together in your amplifier, not unusual to this with
TS connectors the idea I think is a better/stronger contact/signal more wire...
but be sure to check it !

Re: Babyface- white and red cinch

Get the removed cinch connector and check with a multimeter which wire is connected to centre pin (Probably the red).  Use this wire to connect to the unbalanced signal point in your amplifier. Check if the other one is open.  If so do not connect this wire - leave it free.  Connect the braid to earth.

The above advice is also safe, regardless.  Do not short the two wires together.
