Topic: Totalmix crash

Hi,

Woke up this morning to find Totalmix permanently crashes when trying to load it.  I have a Fireface UCX and I'm using Mountain Lion and latest RME Drivers.  Hardware details below.

The only thing I can think of that I have been doing is experimenting with different layouts and snapshots.  Also I have been switching between 64bit and 32bit versions of Ableton live quite a bit.

I used Disk Utility to verify the disk and permissions and did have to repair some permission to do with Audio Midi amongst other things but this hasn't fixed anything.

Any ideas?

I can post the crash report if that helps.

Here's my system:

Model Name:    MacBook Pro
  Model Identifier:    MacBookPro8,1
  Processor Name:    Intel Core i7
  Processor Speed:    2.8 GHz
  Number of Processors:    1
  Total Number of Cores:    2
L2 Cache (per Core):    256 KB
  L3 Cache:    4 MB
  Memory:    8 GB
  Boot ROM Version:    MBP81.0047.B27
  SMC Version (system):    1.68f98

Re: Totalmix crash

Remove the TM prefs and default files. One of them might be corrupted or invalid.

OR:

check the UCX Settings dialog is still working. If that one doesn't start the unit is most probably in CC mode.

Re: Totalmix crash

Hi Matthias,

Deleting the preferences worked great.  Everything is up and running again. Thanks for the speedy response.

If anybody else has this problem it's:
