Topic: Babyface stuck at 44056Khz, Ableton Live won't work.

Driver 1.76  osx10.8.1

Ableton Live changes sample rate to 44056khz and prevents itself from using babyface.
Swapping back to any other useable sample rate will not work.

help!

Hi thanks for getting back to me.

The Babyface works on a  PC with the same cable using any software. It also works at 44.1 in Wave Editor on OSX. It is only OSX and ableton combined that seem to have the problem suddenly. I am not using a hub.

i have updated to latest firmware also...to no avail.


any suggestions?

What happens when you run another software in parallel to Ableton Live? Playback via Itunes?

I'd suggest to trash/rename Live's "Preferences.cfg" in order to reset Live's settings. It can happen to be "corrupted".

Thanks, unfortuantely trashing prefs has not done it. Live is still switching the sample rate, no matter what else is running.


if anyone has any ideas, i'm up the creek here.

I seem to have fixed it by using onboard audio, changing the rate, changing it back, then changing back to babyface.
