Topic: Windows 8, can't get sound from other apps when using an ASIO DAW

When running Windows 7 I could have sound playback from any mediaplayer while using ASIO drivers with Sequoia and my RME MADI PCIe card.

After installing Windows 8 I don't get sound from ANY other apps while running Sequoia wich uses ASIO drivers. Any way to fix this?

After installing Windows 8 you have a different configuration. Check the Sound control panel and on what channels sound playback is set to. This will be different to your Windows 7 setup. Same in Sequiuoa. You might have intentionally not used all 64 I/Os with ASIO to avoid conflicts.
