I don't know if anyone can help with this one maybe it's a little off topic but i'll give it a try...Basically i want to setup my FF800 and a UAD Satellite on the same iMac using one firewire because iMac has only one firewire input. So, i asked the guys at UAD and they told me that it can be done and i quote :

This is possible with one FW port. You would chain the I/O off of the Satellite and adjust the UAD FW bandwidth allocation accordingly. Satellite should be the first device running off of the Mac, you can then chain other devices of of the Satellite. If any of these devices require bus power you would need to employ an approved FW repeater

And now i want to ask if any other user here had this issue before and solved it...or if this method will affect FF800 performance.
