Topic: Decrease CPU load of FF800 by connecting FF400

Hi,

I have FF800 on my Win7 64-bit (Cubase 5) via FW400. I use this soundcard with very small latency because I use it "live". The problem is that I use many software plugins and FF800´s CPU is often "over" so that crackles. Is it possible to connect FF400 (which i have bought) to this FF800 so both of these soundcards will process together, parallel? For example FF800 will process tracks 1-5 and FF400 6-8 but both through one FF driver, because in Cubase there is possibility of just one driver usage. Or they will just split CPU processes somehow between themselves?
If it is possible, please tell me how to connect that (FF800 to PC via FW400 and FF400 to FF800 via FW400?).

Thank you very much
SOBW

Neither the FF400 nor the FF800 have a "CPU" that will process plugins. This takes place inside your audio software (using the computer's CPU) only, unless you use a dedicated DSP device like a UAD.
