Topic: Change in AD converter for UFX - when did the change take place

Looking at the user manual for the UFX,it appears that RME has changed the AD converter - its now down to 12, 9, and 5 samples on the AD side depending on the clock (eg. 9 samples at 96K).  However, my recollection is that when the UFX came out, the AD converter involved a much higher number of samples (ie. more consistent with the UC, as in greater than 40 samples).  Of course I could be wrong, but this is definitely what my memory is telling me since it was a factor that was moving me towards getting the UCX since its ADA was noticeably faster and my setup was best suited to the lowest latency possible.

I am looking at buying a UFX now, but would want to make sure that I get one with the faster cirrus logic AD converter.

Can anybody confirm the manufacturing date or serial number after which you know that you are getting the faster converters with the specs in the current manual.

(and If I am totally wrong, feel free to call me an idiot :-)

thanks

Maybe you downloaded the UCX manual by mistake...
