Topic: HDSP 9652 "sync" blinks on ADAT 1

Quick overview.
HDSP 9652 rev 1.7 on the board, bought in Mar 2010.
Win7x64 (clean install)
ASUS MB P7H55M-Pro MB
i3 530 Clarkdale CPU
8 GB RipJaws RAM
Sonar X1d Expanded (build 535)
Yamaha 02R ADAT 1, 2, 3 > HDSP (running driver 3.3.1)
In the Hammerfall software the "sync" on ADAT 1 flickers; ADAT 2 & 3 do not.
I'm experiencing "dropouts" in Sonar, no "pops" or "crackles" just random dropouts.
Increasing the "samples" does not help.

Second question, if I read the Firmware install correctly flashing a rev 1.7 board can "fail"
or render the card useless?
Do I have that right?

This is an upgrade from an XP machine where I was running 1024 samples and things were working.
The "now time" in Sonar was lagging, and obviously everything was "slow".

Thanks,

Tom

What is the setting for clock mode on the card and on the other device? In the HDSP settings app, what is selected for "SPDIF IN"?

Screen shots below:
48k for this project, the 02R and Sonar set at 48K as well.

SPDIF IN is set to ADAT1, I'm not sure I have the 02R linked to the RME via SPDIF.

Here is the "About" page, do I have that right?

Task Manager shows the hdsp32.exe *32
This is a Win 7x64 machine is hdsp32.exe right?

Re: HDSP 9652 "sync" blinks on ADAT 1

The SPDIF In setting is wrong, this has to be on "Coaxial" if you want to use the ADAT 1 port for ADAT. Currently this port accepts optical SPDIF instead.

Re: HDSP 9652 "sync" blinks on ADAT 1

Jeff,
Thank you.
I'll make the change and report back.

This is why in "SyncCheck" the ADAT1 In "sync" is blinking (perhaps flickering is a better choice of words)?
