Topic: WASAPI minimum latency using HDSP AES-32

Hi

I have tried to search the web and RME forum for an answer on this issue, but couldn't find any.

I have just started to use WASAPI on Windows 7. The IAudioClient::GetDevicePeriod sets phnsMinimumDevicePeriod to 30000 which is 3ms. I was hoping I could set the latency lower. (s far as I know the ASIO minimum latency when using HDSP AES-32 is 0.67ms.)

Questions:

*is it possible to acheive a lower latency using WASAPI
*is the value 30000 a property of Windows 7, or is it set by the RME driver?
*if this is set by the RME driver, does RME plan to support lower latency in the WASAPI/WDM(?) driver?
