Topic: fireface UC install without disc

Im trying to install my fireface UC on new computer.

Ive downloaded the latest drivers

Im following the alternate instructions for windows 7 64 bit drivers

It asks for a disc and I can't find mine.

I don't remember doing this before - wasn't it all online - any ideas what Im doing wrong?

Re: fireface UC install without disc

You don't need a disk, just navigate the installation routine to wherever you have unpacked the contents of the downloaded file. See http://www.rme-audio.de/forum/viewtopic.php?id=732

Re: fireface UC install without disc

Hi Daniel,

Thx for prompt answer.

I did exactly this.  It's this link that I'm following.  If you scroll down it asks for a disk!

It also asks for "CH products game ports" and I can't find this either.

Re: fireface UC install without disc

If it asks for a disk, you can then manually choose the path, which does not need to be a CD drive. As for the game port thing, this is either unrelated or you are trying to install a different device.

Re: fireface UC install without disc

Thanks again.  So what path do I choose manually?  The next part of your link says to choose the INF file, but I can't see one on my computer?

Re: fireface UC install without disc

As I said, you will first need to unzip the downloaded driver file to a new folder in any location of your choice, and then choose that path...
