Topic: AIO - HDSPe AES change unit order?

Hi!

I have a system with two rme cards.... and a mainboard that works perfectly with PCI and PCIe slots.

I have worked with two different configurations:
9632 + HDSPe AES
AIO + HDSPe AES

In every cases, the systems works fine, but the HDSPe AES is the second unit ALWAYS.

Is there anyway to change the order of the units?

I have interchanged the cards in all the slots in the mainboard... PCI1/ PCI2 (for 9632),  and PCIeX1_1/ PCIeX1_2 / PCIeX4 / PCIeX16_1 / PCIeX16/2   (for AIO and HDSPe AES)... All possible combinations...

Latest firmware: Hardware Revision 12 for AIO and 8 for HDSPe-AES..
(as well for the 9632.... i don't remember now which version..)

Operating Systems:
- Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64 bits
or:
- Windows XP Home Edition SP3 32 bits

and latest Driver version: 3.27 and 3.29 in both O.S....

..with the same result in the working panel of the driver: 9632 / AIO -> Unit 1.    HDSPe AES -> Unit 2.

Like other users, my problem is that with Protools10 with native configuration, we have a maximum of 32 physical I/O's, and  if the 9632 or AIO has more than 16 I/O's, we lost the last I/Os of AES... and almost always with the AES we have other high-end converters (i have two mytek 8x192's)...

If change the order is not possible, can i disable the adats from AIO at a 'low level'?

Thank you very much!! (I'm grateful in advance..)

Re: AIO - HDSPe AES change unit order?

Just a quick bump for this question

(with the exception that I am using an hdspe aes card and a 9632).

Being able to change the card order literally means the difference between me using a second card and not using a second card. I need the aes card to show up as the first unit but it shows up as the second, Changing slots has no influence and there is no ways I am going to change the routing on all of my saved projects from the last three years.

anybody have any idea? is there no way to do it in regedit or something?
