Topic: Gracefully disconnecting / turning off fireface UCX?

Hi Guys,

What is the clean way to disconnect my Fireface UCX when connected via USB? I have tried using the "Safely Remove USB Device" option that windows brings, but
it seems to make my PC crash once in a while. Is it ok to just pull out the USB cable while the Fireface UCX is turned on or should I first turn off the fireface UCX and then remove the USB cable?

I'm probably a bit over cautious, but with my studio computer, I always shut down before I disconnect any major FW or USB hardware (shut down both PC and hardware unit).  The minimal time it takes to reboot is worth it to avoid any potential system hiccups.  Only the major stuff though...Thumb drives for example, I just "safely remove" and unplug.
