Topic: ExpressCard problem

I just purchased an HDSPe ExpressCard to use with my Digiface.

I have installed what I believed to be the latest driver, but the DSP (Hammer) window does not look at all like the one in the manual, with fewer options.   It says "Digiface (1)" instead of "HDSPe".

I can't get it to play audio out of my RME ADI-8.  I can't seem to get the ADAT light to come on the Digiface.

Which driver should I install?   I attempted a flash update, but the window said "up to date" (ver 18).  The serial number of the card appears to be more recent than the "fix list" on this board.

Please advise.   Need to get this rig up and running or run to another system.

My laptop is Lenovo T420 with Sandy Bridge i5 and Windows 7 Pro 64bit OS.

Re: ExpressCard problem

All is fine, except maybe you have something set wrong the HDSPe Settings app. If you use the ADAT 1 port for I/O make sure these are not set for SPDIF mode. Check cable connections. Make sure the ADI-8 is set for ADAT (not TDIF) digital input.

Re: ExpressCard problem

The HDSPe settings window does not have the option to select what is master or slave.   The window looks different than the pictures in the manuals.  Is this right, or am I missing something.

Re: ExpressCard problem

Terminology changed, functionality remains... Internal means Master... Selecting an external sync source means slave...
