Topic: TotalMix change submix through OSC

Hi all,

I'm trying to change the active submix by using OSC.

I have tried using :

/setSubmix 1(float)
/setSubmix 1(int)
/1/labelSubmix AN 2/3

But TotalMix didn't respond to this in the GUI, nor did it send back, on the OSC, a status change(as I saw it does for other commands), I'm monitoring this with Wireshark.

If I change the submix directly in TotalMix, I can see OSC packets being sent by TotalMix containing (/1/labelSubmix ...)

I mention that I am able to sucesfully send commands like /1/mastervolume, /1/globalSolo, /1/volume etc.

I'm trying to do this in TotalMix FX Version 0.984, connected to a Fireface UC.
Your input is greatly apreciated.

Best regards,
Alex

Re: TotalMix change submix through OSC

TM FX 0.984 came out before setSubmix was implemented. You need at least version 0.986. And you need to make sure that the option 'Follow submix' in the TM FX Options menu is activated.

Re: TotalMix change submix through OSC

Matthias, I'm having trouble finding version 0.986.

I downloaded and installed the latest drivers from both the firewre and usb categories (Mac OS X), but they only installed version 0.985.

Am I looking in the wrong place? Is it Windows only?

Thanks for your help,
-Charlie

Re: TotalMix change submix through OSC

Install the USB driver 1.77 again. It includes TM FX 0.986. In the next days we will release new drivers that include TM FX 0.989.

Re: TotalMix change submix through OSC

It appears that the latest version posted on the main download page is 1.76

Searching the forums for "1.77" I found your link to it here from about a month ago:

Installed that and got it working -- thanks!
