Topic: Using HDSP Cardbus card without its metal enclosing ?

Hi,

I have a Cardbus card that did not fit my Cardbus slot anymore because the metal enclosing was dented and bent so it was not tightly fitting the plastic frame anymore.

I took off the metal enclosing and put it in the Cardbus slot 'naked' and it works.

Is this OK practice ?

Since I don't think anyone has ever tried this, we don't really know or have an official position other than "use at your own risk"... But if it works...
