Topic: Fireface 800 as frontend for HDSPe AIO

Hi,

I need some help here
I have bought a Fireface 800 which I will use as frontend (standalone) for my AIO to get more I/O. They will be connected through ADAT but should I also use Wordclock ?

In my live rig I have been using a Multiface and a Behringer ADA8000 connected through ADAT and no use of Wordclock ! and this was fine. But this was only for more inputs

Thx

ADAT is fine, there would be no benefit to using word clock in this system.

Re: Fireface 800 as frontend for HDSPe AIO

Hi Jeff

Thx for the answer:cool:
The Fireface haven't arrive yet, I think it will arrive today or tomorrow.

I also considering using it on my live-rig with and expresscard/34 and I would like to know if there are any tips on the Firewire interface. Is it best to use FW400 ? and are there any preferred expresscard/34 FW interfaces ?
I have and old FW800 expresscard/34 with TI chips but I think I read something about stabilityproblems on FW800.
The live-rig is a Zepto 6625 WIN7 Labtop also with TI chips inside and was bought for the Multiface MkI.
I could also use the FF800 as frontend for the Multiface, but I think the converters and evrything else on the FF800 are better and more uptodate
