Topic: speakers pop when computer wakes from sleep

RME HDSPe AIO. I recently switched to a new PC and i have a new problem. When I wake up the computer from sleep the speakers pop. I've just been muting my monitor controller to alleviate this but is this a problem that can be solved in software? Is the PC turning off the PCIe bus and then turning it back on is causing the pop? Thanks
