Topic: FF800 mono monitoring setup question....

Hi all - so I've recently purchased a single active Avantone mixcube to check my mixes in mono.

What is the best way to set this up in Totalmix so I can switch quickly between my 2 mains in stereo
and the single Avantone speaker in mono?

I'm assuming I can use any output on my FF800 for the mixcube.

One option is to go out of the headphone (9/10) output with a 1/4" TRS - XLR cable, with proper resistors in between.  Your best bet is to make one, as I don't seem to find any online.  Never use a standard Y cable as that could result in signal loss and possible damage to the unit (although very doubtful with something like the mixcube).  From what I know, splitting 1 signal to 2 is OK.  2 signals to 1 is bad news.

Once you have your cable, just select the Mono button within the FFmixer and adjust the headphone outputs when necessary.
