I'm about to buy a 2012 MPB, i7, 2,8 Ghz, Lion.
To be sure to be able to use my fireface 800 with it (I used to work on PC), I tried to install it on a friend's MPB (2009, Lion, Core 2 duo) but it doesn't work (red light HOST switched on)

I've seen on few forums that Apple, at a time, used chipset that didn't work so good with the Fireface.
What about now ? I cannot find anywhere the details (chipset, firewire, ...) and wondering about buying this 2012 Mac Book Pro.
