Hey guys,

I'm curious if the following is possible to accomplish with the Babyface and no external reamp boxes.

My idea is to do the following:

Guitar -> Babyface Hi-Z input -> Babyface Analog Output 1 -> Amp's front input with SM 57 recording -> SM 47 into Babyface Analog In 2

Then in my DAW I want to record both inputs: the Hi-Z and the Babyface Analog In 2 (the amp recorded with an SM 57). This way I can keep my recording and the original DI track if I need to reamp it later.

Are the above connections going to work if properly routed in Total Mix ? And is it going to sound bad connecting the Babyface analog out into the amp's input (or damage the amp) ? Do I need a reamp box to convert the signal to a high impedance signal (as if I were connecting my guitar directly to the amp ?).
