Topic: Hammerfall 9652 / W7

alo alo

new to this forum, and this is my first post here.

I have similar troubles with 64bit windows 7 and the oldie (but still damn goodie) hammerfall 9652.
as I gather from this thread, there are drivers for windows 7, but are they still only for 32 bit windows 7 ?
will the drivers be updated for use with 64bit windows 7 at any time soon ? would love for this to happen smile

p.s.
I been using this hammerfall 9652 back in the days of windows xp, and when I switched over to windows 7 I went for the 64bit version so I could benefit from more ram. it was back then I discovered (via the awesome rme support) that the driver used only works under 32bit windows 7, so I decided to upgrade my soundcard to a hdsp 9632.
this old hammerfall 9652 have been laying in the drawers until now, when I decided to slap it (and the 8 channel analog out expansion) into a second livegig machine.now Im just hoping that the drivers will somehow be updated for use with 64bit windows 7, so I wont be "forced" to install a 32bit windows 7 on the same machine (damn windows update, all them updates takes forever).

Re: Hammerfall 9652 / W7

If this is the earlier non-HDSP card, then I'm afraid the answer is no....

Re: Hammerfall 9652 / W7

aah yes it is the old hammerfall card, not the new hdsp card. so its back to the reinstall of windows 7 32bit on that old machine, I was hoping that I would be able to avoid this, as the windows install is a pita and takes me a few hours...

when I read this thread, I thought peeeerhaps the was just a sliiiight millisec chance in the universe for a 64bit driver to have come thru, but... well you cant win them all I guess smile

anyhows, thanks for megafast answer, highly appreciated smile
